Labeling probes for biochemical and imaging applications

Over the years, we have designed and generated a myriad of reporter probes for proteins, nucleic acids, and glycans. Of our particular interest are selective probes for in vitro and in vivo labeling of genetically encodable protein labeling systems, such as the SNAP-tag and the CLIP-tag. Our efforts toward synthesizing chemical conjugates featuring fluorescent dyes, biotin labels, oligonucleotides, and functionalized building blocks with unique properties have enabled researchers to study biological processes with greater resolution and lesser background. Our ongoing projects aim to expand the breadth of multifunctional and cleavable probes to detect protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid interactions and advance single-molecule imaging applications.
