The column matrix will bind 25-30 µg of genomic DNA (gDNA), although in some cases greater yields have been observed.
It is important to note that the binding capacity of the matrix will be reduced if significant amounts of insoluble proteins or polysaccharides are present in the lysate.Please refer to our guidelines for choosing input amounts to avoid overloading the columns.
Additionally, if the gDNA is longer than 80 kb, it cannot be efficiently eluted from the matrix.
