FAQ: I am seeing RNA in my miniprep DNA. How can I avoid this?

The Monarch Neutralization Buffer (B3) (yellow) contains an RNase. It is important that the sample is well-mixed after addition of the neutralization solution and is incubated for the recommended amount of time to allow for the degradation of RNA. Ensure the entire volume in the tube has turned yellow before proceeding. For cell culture volumes larger than 3 ml, please increase centrifugation time after neutralization to 5 minutes to allow more time for the RNase to digest RNA.
